Sierra Bernia School Goes Wild!

On Valentine’s day, we gave each other Valentine’s cards and brownies.

February 15th was the date when we showed our support for the fight against cancer. We donated money to Fundación

Years 10-13 visited the UCAM University in Murcia. They went there as a part of their career guidance program at SBS.

On Friday 17th, KS3 celebrated Carnival. We started with an outfit-creating competition to see who’s drawn character would have the best outfit.

Finally, we watched some movies and played games together.

We then brought some delicious desserts and shared them with each other.

● How many kids do you have? I have 1 kid.

● What is his name? His name is Isaac.

● How old is he? He is 2 years old.

● Is there any influence on the way you were raised by your father on the way you raised your kids? Yes, but I expect to do better.

● How often do you see your family?

As they live in Granada, I only see them once a month.

● What do you like to do with Isaac?

Everything, but since he is little, he discovers new things every day.

● What are their names ? Jonathan, Benjamin, and Nicolas.

● How often de you see each other?

I see Mr. Nico every day, but the other ones, 2-3 times per year.

● What did you enjoy to do with your children when they were younger? A lot of swimming, a lot of skiing, but we didn’t have a lot of time to share.

● How do you feel about your newborn kid?

It is great. It is a different experience, challenging and stressful, but I will not change it for anything else.

● What is his name? Liam.

● How is your wife feeling?

Good, she recovered pretty well already, but sometimes she feels overwhelmed.

● Are you going to take free time from school to take care of your child if your wife is going to work? Yes, of course.

● How do you feel about the fact that you don’t have the rest of your family in this country?

Really sad, it’s really sad that I don’t have my family here.

Peanut Butter Banana Cookies:

Ingredients:

● 128g of creamy natural peanut butter.

● 45-60g of banana purée.

Instructions:

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2: In a medium-sized bowl, combine peanut butter and banana purée. Stir together with a spatula until the purée is completely incorporated into the peanut butter. The mixture should thicken as you mix and should be able to form a cookie dough with the mixture.

Step 3: Using a 1 tbsp measuring spoon, scoop out cookie dough. Use another spoon to help you release the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

Step 4: Use the palm of your hand to flatten the dough into thick round disks about ¼ inch thick. If your disks are not perfectly round, you can use your hands to shape them as needed. If desired, add criss-cross patterns to the surface of the cookies using the back of a fork.

Step 5: Bake the cookies for about 12-13 minutes or until they are puffed up and the tops of the cookie area are of a golden brown. If you aren’t sure if your cookies are done, you can also test one by trying to gently slide it from its space on the parchment paper. It should slide easily. If it leaves crumbs stuck to the bottom of the parchment paper, then it's not finished baking. Let cookies remain on baking sheets until fully cooled for them
