t Stoneleigh-Burnham's Equestrian Program, you'll find a community of riders who share your passion. From the complete novice to the advanced jumper, we'll help you achieve your goals while also developing the skills you need to succeed in the ring and the classroom. Learn proper grooming, horse handling, and barn management principles. Take part in our student internship program as an equestrian intern and explore sound nutrition, anatomy and physiology, lameness, equine diseases, and barn design. And learn from experienced instructors who will help you reach your full potential.

Competition at the Highest Level

toneleigh-Burnham riders have opportunities in a variety of competitions locally, regionally, or nationally, either as individuals or on one of our two IEA teams. Students compete in USEF, USEA, NEHC, and IEA shows both on- and off-campus. Stoneleigh-Burnham has been a member of the Interscholastic Equestrian Association (IEA) since its inception in 2002 and boasts four National Championships. Our Middle and Upper School IEA teams compete within the largest zone in the country. Riders at Stoneleigh-Burnham join a long heritage of respected equestrians. Graduates go to to ride at colleges including, Stanford University, Skidmore College, Mount Holyoke, and more.
