Hello SBLBSHP members, All aspects of our lives are evolving so that we can participate and enjoy the activities we enjoy. Sports without live fans, but fans enjoy the games while socially distanced at restaurants or at home and outdoor nail and hair salons! Everyone has adapted to our new norm of social distancing, working from home or being experts donning PPE. Pharmacists and technicians are front line heroes and we must take care of ourselves before we can effectively serve our patients. Summer is passing by fast, please take some time to recharge. My work encourages us to take time off even if we cannot travel like we usually would in past summers. We drove and helped move our daughter to Glendale, Arizona for graduate school. We took a day “off” and went to Sedona for the day. It was relaxing to be away. We went on a hike, shopped and had ice cream. It was nothing fancy, but it provided an opportunity for relaxed family bonding. I hope you also get a chance to do something special with your friends and family. Unfortunately our chapter has not had many events recently, but we are working on potential virtual continuing education programs. Please stay tuned! Check out the CSHP website for virtual programs where you can learn at the comfort of your own home. Enjoy your summer! Sincerely, Angela Jeong, PharmD, APh
