This year we are honored to present the Partners In Kindness Award to an esteemed duo, we are honored to call our friends, Mr. Michael Hudgens and Mr. Jason Goldberg of CIT Commercial Services.
For over half a century, Sephardic Bikur Holim, has been providing essential services to our community. Over these years, our organization has been dedicated to serving our community with the utmost care and compassion. We are proud to be made up of both volunteers and highly-trained, qualified staff who work tirelessly to support our mission. Our mission is simple yet profound: to treat every individual as if they are a family member. Your participation and support in this event not only honor Michael Hudgens and Jason Goldberg but also help us continue our legacy of service. Michael Hudgens is president of CIT Commercial Services, one of the nation’s leading providers of factoring, credit protection, accounts-receivable management, supply chain finance and lending services to domestic middle-market companies.
In this role, which he has held since June 2023, Hudgens supervises regional managers in the Northeast, Southeast and West, oversees First Citizens International Factoring business and directs the Supply Chain Finance group. Working collaboratively with his leadership team, he has primary responsibility for strategic direction and business growth.
Prior to his current position, Hudgens served as managing director for all of CIT Commercial Services. He also has served as southeast regional manager, senior vice president and head of business development, and worked in a variety of sales and credit positions at CIT Commercial Services, joining the company in 1988.
Throughout his career, Hudgens has worked closely with business owners, financial managers and professional advisors of many of the nation’s most prestigious furniture and textile companies. He is a frequent contributor to consumer product publications including WWD and Furniture Today and has held board and committee positions at key financial industry groups including SFNet.
He holds a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Clemson University and is a supporter of and content contributor to the Clemson University College of Business. He and his wife Holly have one daughter, Bailey.
Jason Goldberg
Northeast Regional Sales Manager
CIT Commercial Services, a subsidiary of First Citizens Bank
Jason M. Goldberg is the Northeast Regional Sales Manager for CIT Commercial Services.
Based in New York City, he manages a team of talented new business development officers focused on building deep customer relationships as well as identifying, sourcing and closing factoring, asset-based and supply chain finance deals across a variety of industries.
He brings over 25 years of banking, finance and sales management experience to First Citizens, having most recently served as chief lending officer at Blue Foundry Bank where he was responsible for P&L management and sustainable performance improvement of the bank’s lending businesses. He has held senior and executive roles in product leadership and sales management and strategy at various financial institutions including Israel Discount Bank of New York, Crestmark Bank and Westgate Financial.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from State University of New York at Binghamton. Throughout his career, he has served on many boards and is often a speaker at banking and finance events and contributor to publications.
Mr. Goldberg lives in Englewood NJ, with his wife and three children, where he is extremely active in his local community. He served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Moriah School and is an active member of CSS at his local synagogue.

The tremendous work that this organization does is not only an integral part of what makes the Sephardic community so very special, but it is also a model for community building and support for us all. For over 100 years, CIT and First Citizens Bank have been committed to these same principals of giving back and building community, and we are proud to support such an organization.
Our work with SBH has been a meaningful part of our professional and personal journeys. Together, Mike and I bring decades of experience in our field, working with the community and beyond. And throughout that time, we’ve had the privilege of working with a broad network of clients who share our values and commitment to giving back. Many of those clients are actively involved with SBH, and it’s been inspiring to see how this shared mission has fostered deeper community connections and collective impact.
While we are truly grateful for the recognition, we are even more grateful for the opportunity to support the critical work SBH does day in and day out. Your dedication to caring for those in need and uplifting the community is a cause we’re proud to stand behind.
