SBTO Recipe: Spicy rice pudding for a cold day 1. Melt 15g butter in a saucepan, add 2tbsp caster sugar, ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract, ½ teaspoon cinnamon, 3 bashed green cardamon pods, zest of ½ an orange and ½ a lemon and gently cook for 5min, until dissolved and fragrant. 2. Tip in 125g pudding rice and stir to coat, cook for 2min. Pour over 650ml milk, bring to the boil then reduce to a simmer and cook for 25-30min, stirring occasionally to prevent it sticking on the bottom of the pan. Remove the whole spices and zest to serve.

SBTO Recipe: Healthy Easter boiled eggs Bring a large pan of water to the boil. Add the eggs and simmer for 10 mins. Drain the eggs and plunge into ice water to cool down, gently peel off the shells and discard. Cut some of the eggs in half and decorate with currants for eyes and a small triangle of carrot for a beak to create egg chicks. Slice the remaining eggs to create bunny shapes, quartering some for ears and halving some lengthways for the body. Create a round tail by slicing the top off one of the eggs. Decorate the plate/board with sprigs of rosemary and miniature carrots, if you like. Serve with cucumber, cherry tomatoes and rocket.

SBTO Recipe: Fruit ice lollies Blitz a mango with ½ banana and 100g yogurt in a blender until smooth. Divide between six ice lolly moulds and insert a stick into each. Hold each stick upright in the mould, and secure on both sides with tape. Freeze for 1 hr until set. Repeat with another ½ banana, 100g more yogurt and the kiwi fruit, and pour that over the banana layer. Freeze for another 1 hr until set. Repeat with the raspberries, then the blackberries, freezing each layer before topping with the next. Cover and freeze the lollies overnight. Run under warm water to remove from the moulds. Will keep in the freezer for up to two months.

SBTO Recipe: Eyeball cake pops Break 100g Madeira cake and 100g Oreo cookies into the bowl of a food processor, pour in 100g melted milk chocolate and whizz to combine. Tip the mixture into a bowl, then use your hands to roll into about 10 walnutsized balls. Chill for 2 hrs until really firm. Push a skewer into each ball, then carefully spoon melted white chocolate over the cake balls to completely cover. Stand the cake pops in a pumpkin, then press a Smartie onto the surface while wet. Chill again until the chocolate has set. Before serving, using icing pens, add a pupil to each Smartie and wiggly red veins to the eyeballs.

SBHA want to make it as easy as possible for you to pay your rent. Therefore, payment can be made by using your Allpay card at any location displaying one of the following signs:

❖ Clean your detector regularly – vacuum the dust from the sensor chamber. ❖ Test regularly – push the test button until the alarm goes off. Do this at least once a month. ❖ Renew the battery – the alarm will sound intermittently when the battery is low and needs to be renewed. (Please note that your battery is a backup power supply if your electricity is cut). If your alarm sounds in error – try to vacuum (as above) as there may be dust in the sensor chamber. If this does not work, then phone PH Jones on 0800 0193 222 as it will require immediate attention. Never leave your smoke detector faulty – it may be lifethreatening!
