The MetaPal M1 is a new rehab shower commode chair from SolutionBased, engineered to deliver exceptional adjustability and long-term adaptability. Built around a modular base, the M1 can be configured to meet a wide range of user needs at the time of ordering and is designed to be easily reconfigured over time as requirements change.
The M1 can be configured with four locking casters or large selfpropelling wheels mounted in the front or rear. Using our Plunge Puller system, key positioning elements such as seat height, seat slope, and support components can be adjusted or changed without tools, making setup fast and post-delivery modifications simple. All M1 seats include fore-and-aft seat aperture adjustment, allowing the seat to move independently of the frame and backrest. The seat can be positioned up to 2 inches forward or backward to better fit users of different sizes, and this feature is standard on every seat.
Multiple seat options are available, including molded and multi-layer visco foam styles with front, rear, left, or right openings. Thigh supports and laterals can be added or removed quickly. Two backrest styles are offered—a fully adjustable solid backrest or a tensioned backrest with padded inserts. The adjustable headrest provides multidirectional positioning for optimal support.
A wide range of accessories can be added to the M1 at any time, including a flip-down directional caster, anti-tip wheels, pommel, commode bucket with lid, and more—allowing the chair to be tailored as needs evolve.
Every element of the MetaPal M1 is designed to be serviceable and reconfigurable. Accessories can be added after purchase, allowing the chair to adapt over time rather than be replaced. The seat can be independently adjusted up or down without changing the frame height. Using our simple Plunge Puller system (no tools or clips required), seat height adjustment between 19″ and 23″. Height and slope are set in 1-inch increments, with up to 4 inches of front-to-back differential.
These adjustments support improved pelvic and trunk positioning and may enhance stability for users with limited trunk control, helping support better reach, balance, and overall comfort.
The seat aperture includes fore/aft (front-to-back) adjustment, allowing the seat to move independently of the frame and backrest. It can be positioned up to 2 inches forward or backward to better fit users of different sizes. This feature is standard on all seats.
Seat options include molded or dual-layer Visco foam designs. Configurations are available with front, left-side, right-side, or rear openings, as well as closed-front styles. Custom sizes can also be made to order.
Pull-and-twist locking pins, referred to as Plunge Pullers, are positioned throughout the M1. They allow key components to be quickly adjusted and securely locked in place. This simple mechanism requires minimal effort, making setup and repositioning easy for both users and caregivers.
The optional flip-down directional caster lock holds one of the four casters in a fixed position, making it easier for an attendant to steer the chair. This feature requires no tools and can be added at any time.
The T-nut rail is standard on all MetaPal chairs, allowing the laterals to slide up and down for precise vertical positioning. They swing away by lifting upward and lock securely using our Plunge Puller hardware. Each lateral can be adjusted forward/ back and in/out for optimal width and support. Extra extension links can be added when used with the adjustable back.
All MetaPal seats include mounting hardware to accept thigh supports. The thigh supports can be removed quickly using the Plug Puller system. They are width-adjustable, and extra extension links can be added when narrower positioning is required.
A molded backrest can be added and adjusted up or down along the T-nut rail. Optional hardware allows the backrest to shift forward and enables angle adjustment for improved positioning.
The tensioned backrest includes five straps that wrap around the frame, providing additional support and adjustability without interfering with the armrests or laterals. A zippered sleeve at the bottom contains a pocket for a 2-inch foam insert to enhance comfort and support.
The headrest is easy to adjust and can be positioned up, down, forward, backward, and side to side for optimal support. It is available in two molded sizes standard and large, connects using a 1-inch ball-joint mount for enhanced adjustability. Extra extension links can be added when additional height is needed.
Precision armrests are adjustable in both height and length on the T-nut rail, with pads that can also be rotated for optimal comfort.
SHOWERBUDDY SB1
The ShowerBuddy (SB1) transfer system will transform your existing curbed shower into an accessible, barrier-free shower in minutes. This chair allows the user to enjoy showering again without the high cost, delay, and stress of a full bathroom remodel. The SB1 alleviates heavy lifting and multiple transfers for toileting and showering. This chair is separated into three sections: rolling base (shower chair), bridge, and shower base. The rolling base can double as a bedside commode. It also rolls around the house like a wheelchair, allowing a user to easily transfer and roll into the bathroom area and over the toilet. When toileting is complete, the rolling base and shower base are connected using the bridge, allowing the chair to slide over the curb and into the shower stall. Once inside the shower stall, the bridge disconnects, and the shower base can rotate 360 degrees to allow the user to face the shower controls or any other direction. SB1 features a unique secondary safety mechanism that prevents the chair from sliding off the track and causing injury. POWER BATH-LIFT FOR THE BATHTUB
The BathLyft is a battery-operated bath chair that lowers and lifts the user in and out of the bathtub, reducing the strain on the user and preventing the risk of slip and falls. The stable frame and base plate ensure the user’s stability and safety, while the padding and optimized dimensions ensure a comfortable bathing experience. The Bathlyft’s superior design allows for a backrest recline of up to 52° and lowers into the tub with a minimum sitting position of 2.5" from the bottom. The side flaps move into and out of place to create a transfer surface, allowing the user even more peace of mind. The water-tight hand control will provide the user with approximately 35 lifts on a single charge. The built-in safety switch will prevent use if the battery is too low to perform a complete lift.
