Withtheincreasedemphasisonsustainabilityonaworldwidescale,the buildingandarchitecturesectorsareessentialinmitigatingenvironmental effects.Thenotionof"DesignforDisassembly"(D2D)anditsdeeprelevancein thefieldofarchitectureareexaminedinthisstudy.D2Disastrategymethod toreduceresourcewaste,cutembodiedenergy,andimproveindoorair quality.Itemphasisesthepurposefuldevelopmentofstructuresthatcanbe cheaplyandeffectivelydismantledattheendoftheirlives.Thereport alsorecognisesthedifficultiesinputtingDfDintopractice,includingthe growingusageofsophisticatedcompositematerialsandthemoveawayfrom traditionalhandicraft.
