SAVE MOUNT DIABLO SIGNS GINOCHIO SCHWENDEL RANCH OPTION

We’re delighted to announce that we have officially signed an option agreement for Ginochio Schwendel Ranch!

This property borders two of our protected properties along Marsh Creek, creating a larger continuous protected area within a critical wildlife corridor on Mount Diablo.

BEAUTIFYING THE BALCERZAK INHOLDING

After Save Mount Diablo acquired the Balcerzak inholding, the work to clean up the area began.

Our trash removal project team recently worked to disassemble unnecessary fences and remove metal debris from throughout the property.

There is a lot of work left to be done before the Balcerzak inholding is ready to transfer to Mount Diablo State Park. There are multiple structures we need to disassemble and much more debris to remove from this property.

Diablo Restoration Team

The Diablo Restoration Team (DiRT) helps restore properties so they can be turned over to park systems for public access. Dedicated to the conservation and enhancement of natural resources in Contra Costa County, volunteers meet monthly to get DiRTy and improve habitat for sensitive and endangered species. savemountdiablo.org/dirt
