Shark Week: Did you know that there are around 440 species of shark or that the shark that inspired to movie Jaws was most likely not a great white? Your camper will be immersed in all things shark from species specifics to threats to their survival. Campers will hear from experts in the field and use what they learn to participate in engineering or art. Additionally, they will be allowed more time to plan and participate in service-learning and art or enjoy the pool and fishing.
SVC Beginner Sailing Academy:
(Minimum age: 8 years old)
June 8-12 • June 22-26 • July 6-10 • July 20-24
Sailors will have the opportunity to learn the basics of sailing in Optimist Prams. Topics will include: parts of the boat, points of sail, basic knots, basic boat handling & sailing terms.
SVC Intermediate Sailing Academy: (Minimum age: 10 years old)
June 8-12 •June 22-26 • July 6-10 • July 20-24
Sailors will learn more advanced boat handling skills, racing rules, tactics (strategy, starting, windward legs, downwind legs, racing courses, etc).
Tater Tots Tennis: (4-7 years old)
June 15-19 • July 6-10
Designed tointroduce the game of tennis to the young ones! Tennis, fun games, arts and crafts, and movies willbe a part of the daily schedule.
Big Hitters Tennis Camp: (8-16 years old)
June 8-12 • June 22-26 • July 13-17
Designed to accommodate all levels of players! Whether your player is just starting out, beginning tournamentplay,orgettingreadytoplayhighschooltennis,thiscampistheoneforthem.
Member Photos and Contact Information
In order to protect your member account from being used by anyone other than you or your dependents, we are continuing to populate our database with pictures of all our members and their families. If you don't think we have your photo on file, please email photos of you and your dependents to ryan@savannahyachtclub.org. We are also trying to make sure that we have all the correct contact info (phone numbers & address, etc) for all our members. If you have had a change of address in the recent years, please let us know so we can update your informationin our systems!

Hello from the Docks,
DOCKS
We are very happy to see everyone out in their boats having fun during this health crisis period. We have social distancing and sanitizing practices in place at the Club to keep everyone safe on your boats and at the docks, including the docks staff. Please keep the 3-day rules for wet and dry parking in mind in the upcoming months, and be respectful of members who have assigned spaces on the docks. It is very disheartening to come back to your slip at the docks and find someone is already there. Please keep your four-legged friends on a leash and make sure to clean up after them. We want to keep the campus clean for all to enjoy! We have been very busy at the docks and we are looking forward to a very busy summer.

Dock Hours:
Monday - Thursday
Wednesday - Thursday Friday - Sunday
DOCKS PROCEDURES:
• Docks will be available for fueling and hoisting boats. 8am - 6pm 7am - 7pm 8am - 7pm
• Members should be prepared to put their boat straps on their vessels themselves.
• If Members need emergency work done on their boat, they must contact the Dockmaster at 912-644-4127 or 912-547-5292.
• If Members wish to have their boat pulled from dry storage and put in the water or vice versa, call the Docks Office 45 minutes before you will be arriving to make these arrangements. ($12.50 per move)
