Elderly Daycare Center

We designed a new elderly daycare center for a traditional NGO in Hong Kong, with the aim of creating a new image for them. We created zoning through differentiation in colors and materials. Our aim was to create a space which was soothing for the users. The challenge of the design process was to create a space that was highly functional, affordable to build, fulfilled all safety requirements, yet attractive and cheerful.

Transitional Social Housing

This project looked a the design of transitional social housing in Hong Kong, for people who have waited years for public housing. We examined the use of modular parts to speed up the process of building. The blocks are also designed to be fully dis-mountable, so that the housing could be moved to another site, when the lease of the land is up.
