In painstaking development since 2007, the star of Patek Philippe’s 175th anniversary is an unparalleled masterpiece: a double-faced reversible wristwatch, majestically finished, containing 20 complications and, as its name suggests, with a choir of chimes that have never before come together in any wristwatch – a grand complication reinventing and celebrating the music of time. A new pinnacle in haute horlogerie, this is a watch with an intricate inner life. Only seven pieces with the unique engraved case will ever be made; six will be sold to collectors and enthusiasts, while the seventh will join the collection at the Patek Philippe Museum. A watch of infinite variety and with a unique voice, the Grandmaster Chime deserves the regal laurels that decorate its case – it is a visionary triumph, as pleasing to the ear as to the eye, and a truly melodious companion. The watch retailed at 2.6 Million Dollars and all 6 pieces for sale were bought upon release. The 7th is on display at the Patek Phillipe Museum in Switzerland.

Photographers use their cameras as tools of exploration, passports to inner sanctums, instruments for change. Their images are proof that photography matters—now more than ever. By wresting a precious particle of the world from time and space and holding it absolutely still, a great photograph can explode the totality of our world, such that we never see it quite the same again. After all, as Kierkegaard also wrote, “the truth is a snare: you cannot have it, without being caught.” Today
photography has become a global cacophony of freeze-frames. Millions of pictures are uploaded every minute. Correspondingly, everyone is a subject, and knows it..... Photography was commercially introduced in 1839, a date generally accepted as the birth year of practical photography. The metal-based daguerreotype process soon had some competition from the paper-based calotype negative and salt print processes invented by William Henry Fox Talbot.
Photography is not only a form of art; it is also a means of expression and a way of communicating thoughts and feelings. A single photograph can tell a hundred different stories. This is one of the reasons why some people have taken it as a hobby and, for others, a form of therapy. Yes, photography can be a good form of therapy for people who need to “get back on track or those who are in the process of recovering from a tragic or sad incident. Photos have some sort of a healing effect on a lot of people. There are times when expressing
emotions in words become too difficult; this is when photographs can help.... A photograph is the one way we have managed to freeze time and in a way also time travel. Because we carry that moment with us to our future and are able to look back on it and relive all those memories. From Weddings, to babies first steps to the graduation and even a funeral, photographs have helped us materialize our memories and for that Photography is not anything that will be forgotten.
