Should I die before I wake, 1

My head not bloody, nor unbowed 2

No kingdom by the sea will I find myself 3

And remember how life was a mere paragraph, 4

With death now an exclamation. 4

I once said I had time for nothing, 5

But the endeavor of balancing myself upon a broken world 5

Maybe I should have just balanced myself 6

Through the days where there was water, water everywhere 6

And all of my boards did shrink. 6

And no verse of mine did stand 7

There was no kingdom by the sea 3

And I ponder yet weak and weary 8

Still I have no more fight

To rage against the dying of the light. 9
