Dear Lord, I love my father

Deeper than the depths ofmy soul

I love him farther

Than humanly love could ever go

Because he has loved me

Before I even knew myself

Teaching me how to speak

With the simple stories he loves to tell

So Lord I ask with all my heart

If you could be his heart beat as life goes on

And when breathing becomes to hard

I pray that you are the reason he is strong

Because dear Lord I love my father

Deeper than the ocean or sea

And I'm going to love him farther

Than this world could ever be

And I pray that you make me

Half the man my father is

Beautiful like his smile in the morning

To the hardest man working man that ever lived
