As Bach composed "Magnificat,"
As Shakespeare crafted Hamlet,
Compose and craft me as You will
Since I, alone, cannot.
Wield your pen with artist's grace
And take command of me.
Write a cadence echoing
Heaven's symphony.
Every stanza, rhyme, and line:
Make it point to Thee.
Wind my words 'round thoughts of You,
Like ivy wraps a tree,
'til naught else shows but Thy bright form
Yet shadowed by a poem.
