break hearts,

I love you

I really do.

You swept me

Away.

I wanted so

badly to

take that

chance.

Such that I

wrote it

down in a poem.

You read it

"I love it

I really do"

And yet

I didn't have

the heart

to tell you

I love you

I really do.

And what was intended

as a secret

desire,

turned into

a past

that left a wound

so deep

I had to

write three more poems

to keep that secret

from you.

I love you

I really do.
