Midsummer Storm

I stood on the cliff,

sidled up to the ledge

and emptied myselfofash and dredge

then I tapped my soul of its shadows and sin

which fell sheer from the edge and took flight in the wind

and dug out my dirt

emptied myself of the pain and the hurt

they fell sheer from the ledge

lost shape and lost form

and flowed west on the winds of this midsummer storm
