I went out to pick a flower and
a thistle scratched my hand,
I went out to sail a boat and
found the ocean had dried up.
I walked out to look at the Sun and
rain fell hard upon me.
I went out to find love and
my soul withered and died.
Now, I'm a rock, must you break
me in a million pieces?
