Why Mississauga?

Mississauga has the venue infrastructure, partnerships and service support to host groups of any size. Two high-profile associations tell why they chose Mississauga to host their 2023 events.

CSAE Summer Summit

Date: July 5–7, 2023

Attendees: 280+ association executives and business members

Venue: Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale

“When we choose a destination, we look at the overall vibe and energy so that we’re working with a partner and we’re in a place where our group is excited to be. Among our program highlights was the opening keynote by Raia “Coach” Carey, manager of culture, diversity and inclusion at the SickKids Foundation, speaking about embracing stress in the workplace. And on the morning of our final day, Visit Mississauga offered several experiences around the city, including a 5-km guided hike, meditation opportunities and an indoor/outdoor swim.”

The summit will tap into Mississauga’s impressive aviation expertise with a session on sustainable aviation fuels. Indigenous Tourism Ontario is working closely with event organizers on programming and Urban Expeditions will take attendees into Mississauga’s neighbourhoods to learn about the diverse communities through gamification, adds Carol Greenwood, TIAO vice-president, operations and partnerships.
