Geared trolleys are subjected to corrosion and damage, therefore, are supposed to be protected for them. When one is required to remove the trolleys for separate storage, consider these vital aspects.
Do not return a damaged trolley to the storage. They need to be dried and cleaned thoroughly in order to prevent their corrosion. Storing geared trolleys in a dry and clean area will protect them for damage. To avoid further damage, the operating chains, pendant power controls etc. are required to store separately with clear labeling and cautious removal. Trolleys should not be dropped or thrown down. Correctly handle and store the trolleys. Thorough inspection of the trolleys, blocks, and accessories is must before you begin their use and before you place them in storage. The wheel profile needs to be accurate to make it suitable for the track. Check whether the width of trolley is accurate for the track or not. Fit the track with positive end stops. Rather than pushing pull loads suspended on push/pull trolleys.

Without prior consultation from supplier don’t expose trolleys to chemicals, particularly acids. Forcing the suspension hook of blocks onto the load bar can cause damage. Throw or drop a trolley. Direct exposure to water sprays and atmosphere with high moisture content. Use a trolley with damaged wheel flanges. Obliquely side loads a trolley.
