Parking Updates

22 November 2024

FAQ: Will the HTP building at RSH have underground parking or additional parking?

There is planning permission to increase the number of car parking spaces by 107 and we are currently considering our options around this The HTP building will not include underground parking

Contractors parking in staff car parks

We have been notified of contractor vehicles still parking in staff car parks We are working closely with our construction partners to make sure new starters and delivery drivers know the parking instructions on site and we will be issuing enforcements to those vehicles parked in the wrong place. If staff notice vehicles parked in the wrong area, they can report it to sth-tr carparking@nhs net Please state which car park the vehicle is parked in and the registration number to ensure the swiftest of resolutions to your feedback

How to apply for twilight, cross-site and on-call parking - RSH

There are a number of car parking spaces at RSH that are allocated to clinical colleagues working a twilight shift, cross-site or on-call and who cannot use the Park & Ride To obtain a twilight/clinical cross-site permit you will need to contact your manager who will discuss with their People & OD business partner A decision will then be made to decide whether you are eligible for the permit If eligible, the business partner should then email sth-tr carparking@nhs net

We are receiving a lot of emails from concerned residents near the hospital With extended hours on the Park & Ride please use this service and refrain from parking on nearby residential streets. A message from our neighbours

The timings have changed on the RSH Park & Ride timetable. Please check before you travel.

Park & Ride Update

As the nights get darker, and with the extended hours on the RSH Park & Ride, please take every step possible to ensure your personal safety The Park & Ride car parks at RSH and PRH are well lit If you are feeling concerned, the bus drivers are willing to wait at the car parks until colleagues are safely in their cars

The bus route at RSH is different on the way there, to the way back The blue route takes you from Oxon to the Treatment Centre and stops off on Mytton Oak Road, just before Evolution Road The purple route goes from the Treatment Centre and has a request stop further up Mytton Oak Road, and then finishes at Oxon

We will need to adjust the route in the next few weeks to align with the new one-way system on site, so look out for more details

We will continue to look at how we can deliver the best service for our colleagues, so that as many people as possible can use the Park & Ride

We know that some of you use the Park & Ride every day and that more of you are trying it every day Thank you for ‘getting on board’ this new initiative So far 12 colleagues have claimed their free drink.
