Parking Updates

8 November 2024

We are sorry that we have lost some extra spaces due to the closure of the overflow car park We need to close the whole car park because HTP’s contractors IHP will be bringing over 40 large portable cabins on site from next week, that they will use for office accommodation for the next 3-4 years The cabins will reduce contractor car parking At the peak of construction there will be an estimated 600 people working on the build, so the contractors will also need to use the Park & Ride as well as this car park Thank you to everyone who has started using the Park & Ride from this week The cabins will be delivered between 9am and 4pm next week, so there may be additional traffic on Evolution Road
Parking enforcement
As a reminder we will be using ANPR (cameras) and issuing parking enforcements from Monday 11 November for those caught parking in the wrong space or without a permit To register for a permit, please visit the NexusPlatform registration page Please don’t leave it too late to get your permit and risk receiving a parking charge You will need a permit before parking your vehicle
Parking permits for apprentices- RSH & PRH
Our car parking policy refers to free parking for those primarily on government apprenticeships We are aware that those working on an annex 21 apprenticeship may also qualify For clarity, anyone who is earning less than £24,071 will be entitled to a parking permit at no cost Once you have received your apprenticeship qualification you will need to pay the amount according to our parking charges
You must still apply for a parking permit even if you do not pay

How to cancel your parking permit
The permit system can be accessed within My applications –car parking permit applications So, if you wish to cancel your parking permit then you will need to do this yourself Please note that anyone who pays for car parking from Salary pays in arrears so there will be a further payment in the month following the cancellation of your permit
William Farr House car park
The car park at William Farr House is only to be used by colleagues who work at William Farr House Please use the Park & Ride instead
