We are still receiving emails from our neighbours, who are really concerned about the safety of their roads with increased numbers of cars parking daily Please continue to exhibit our Trust values and refrain from parking dangerously and causing concern to our neighbours Thank you to those staff who have now started parking at the Oxon Park & Ride and either walking or taking the bus
Purple zone parking
The Purple Zone is a car park near the Treatment Centre, which is reserved for either oncall/cross-site clinical staff or twilight workers. For on-call /cross-site clinical workers you must be pre-registered on an exemption list. For twilight workers you must have a permit issued by your department. All staff parking in this area must also pay for a permit. If you feel you qualify to park in this area, please email sth-tr carparking@nhs net
Checking your parking permit
Please take a moment to check the vehicle details on your parking permit The ANPR cameras are now fully operational and they check the images against the information on the GroupNexus portal This can mean that if you haven’t updated your vehicle details or if you have entered the registration number incorrectly, then you will be issued with a parking charge notice (PCN)
What to do if you receive a PCN
If you think you have been wrongly issued with a PCN, please follow the instructions on the back of the PCN. You will find full details of how to appeal and contact details on the notice.

Left turn only off Evolution Road
The one way system is working well to keep our patients, visitors and staff safe during the ongoing construction at RSH We still need to ensure a steady flow of traffic off the site, especially at peak times To ensure this, traffic is directed to exit Evolution Road by turning left only Not doing so is leading to a long queue of traffic waiting to exit the hospital and is causing delays to the Park & Ride bus service
If colleagues wish to turn right, they should use the exit through onto Racecourse Lane as shown on the map
