SaTH reaches the final Four colleagues from SaTH will find out next week if they are the winners in a national awards. Rachel Armstrong, Lead Nurse for Education and Quality, Lara Evans, Clinical Practice Educator and Sister Helen Moore, Research Matron (pictured right) are finalists in the Nursing Times Workforce Awards - Preceptorship of the Year. They co-delivered a patient improvement research project as part of the Trust’s Preceptorship Programme. Sath is the only Trust nationally that offers this fantastic opportunity to our newly qualified nurses and nursing associates. This award recognises programmes which demonstrate support, development, coaching and mentorship of new staff. And Professional Development Nurse, Jamie Henry – recent

winner of the Nursing Times Rising Star Award – is also a finalist in the Overseas Nurse of the Year category.

The September 2020 Preceptorship cohort were the first to be involved in the research element.

The Overseas Nurse of the Year award recognises an individual who has made a significant contribution to their employer since moving to work in the UK.

The Nursing Times Workforce award winners will be announced on 17 November – and SaTH will be rooting for Jamie, Rachel, Lara and Helen.
