Karen Breese, Dementia Care Clinical Specialist, said “Dementia Action Week is a national event that encourages people to take action to improve the lives of people living with dementia. “We are on the wards five days a week, but this action week gives us the chance to push forward the conversation about why words matter. “Use positive simple words at a steady pace, step into the person’s world. We are in a privileged position and are guests in people’s lives every working day. “ “Think kindly, speak kindly, act kindly”
