Education fun to mark World Sepsis Day The Trust marked World Sepsis Day last Friday by holding a number of educational games for theatre staff to get involved in during their breaks. With Sepsis being responsible for one in five deaths worldwide, our Sepsis Team took a novel approach to World Sepsis Day by creating fun games for colleagues that prompted them about the importance of timely recognition and intervention. Sepsis Team Nurse Practitioner, Angela Windsor, said: “Our goal within the Sepsis Team is to support clinical teams in working together, respectfully listening to each other and utilising the standardised Sepsis pathway alongside proactive antimicrobial stewardship to positively improve the outcomes for those with Sepsis.” Although World Sepsis Day is now over, the team is encouraging all clinical colleagues  Staff Nurse Jess to visit the Davies taking part in Sepsis World Sepsis Day. intranet pages as there are many informative resources there to add to existing knowledge around Sepsis. Meanwhile, if you would like to become a Sepsis Champion – giving you a greater opportunity to make suggestions and feedback on Sepsis management at SaTH to ensure it is meaningful to all – please contact Angela by emailing angela.windsor2@nhs.net Angela concluded: “Ultimately we want to promote a ‘Think could this be Sepsis’ culture across all areas of the organisation.”
