WHERE DO WE COME FROM? WHAT ARE WE? WHERE ARE WE GOING?” by Sasha Primak
“Architecture is a way of seeing, thinking and questioning our world and our place in it.” – T.Mayne “The Beaty Biodiversity Museum by Patkau Architects provides accommodation to the blue whale skeleton that illustrates the interconnectedness of all living things. When visitors enter the museum they can admire the magnitude of the largest animal that has ever lived on Ear th at eye level. Then, they can descend a switchback ramp to stand below and pause in awe of the skeleton’s full breadth. The unobstructed view invokes the hushed reverence for nature’s wonder and puts things into perspective… The whale population has drastically decreased during the commercial whaling era and it may never fully recover. A minimalist aesthetic of this space, with its clean lines and a monochromatic palette, provides a beautiful in its simplicity backdrop for life’s drama while offering a per fect site for learning and self-reflection.” Camera: Canon

THE CHALLENGE: Despite being established in the architectural industry for over a decade, the company’s online presence did not reflect the scale or quality of its work. Specializing in commercial real estate development, the firm lacked a refined portfolio that effectively showcased its diverse range of high-end projects. THE OUTCOME: • Created a cohesive visual portfolio highlighting the company’s distinctive architectural style and diverse commercial developments across the Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island. • Developed refined brand visuals that helped position the firm more competitively by: - setting clear client expectations, - attracting high-end clientele aligned with the company’s design values, - reducing friction throughout the inquiry and design process. • The produced photography contributed to the company receiving the 2022 Capital Region Commercial Building Awards – Award of Merit for the E.B. Horsman & Son Victoria Branch industrial/ commercial project.

CLIENT SINCE 2019 - CURRENT THE CHALLENGE: The client initially approached us due to the lack of high-quality visual assets, including professional photos of past projects, as well as inconsistent branding and marketing materials that did not reflect the company’s vision. As the collaboration evolved, additional gaps were identified within the company’s overall marketing approach, digital presence, and brand communication strategy. THE OUTCOME: Our work evolved into a comprehensive brand and marketing transformation that included: • The development of refined brand and marketing guidelines and website to ensure visual consistency across all touchpoints • Strategic enhancements to the company’s online presence, including social media content direction and management • High-end visual assets and graphic design tailored to support preconstruction marketing and sales initiatives • A complete suite of print and sales materials created for eight residential developments — including apartment towers in Surrey, as well as townhome and apartment communities across Surrey and Langley — designed to strengthen buyer confidence and reinforce value throughout the sales process • Recognition through six national housing awards, including honors for Best Marketing & Advertising Campaign, Best Print Ad, Best Corporate Website, and additional categories Results included: • Increased qualified website and phone enquiries from buyers who were better informed prior to initial contact • Greater brand awareness both locally across the Lower Mainland and nationally throughout Canada • Increased website traffic and stronger engagement, reflecting deeper buyer interest and longer on-site interaction • The introduction of a newsletter strategy, creating an additional channel to nurture prospective buyers over time

THE CHALLENGE: The client initially engaged us to create premium visual assets, including professional photography of their awardwinning architectural glass collections for use across social media, industry publications, and marketing materials aimed at luxury clients worldwide, including Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, and Tiffany & Co.. Collaborating with internationally recognized premium brands required an exceptional level of visual precision, refined presentation, and meticulous attention to detail. A key aspect of the project was ensuring the glass samples were represented with a high degree of photographic accuracy, as many client approvals, purchasing decisions, and product specifications were handled remotely across various regions and international markets. THE OUTCOME: Our collaboration evolved into an ongoing creative partnership that included regular photo and video productions, providing behind-the-scenes, documenting large-scale architectural projects, and creating cinematic visual content that highlighted the movement, texture, and light interaction of the glass. • Enhanced the company’s digital presence through strategically developed social media content and visual materials tailored for architectural and design publications • Produced high-end visual assets that elevated brand perception, strengthened client confidence, and reinforced the premium value of the products throughout the sales and specification process • Contributed to increased brand awareness both nationally across Canada and internationally, supported by higher website traffic, stronger audience engagement, and longer onsite interaction from prospective clients • Helped establish additional channels for ongoing client engagement and long-term relationship building through consistent visual storytelling and content development.

THE CHALLENGE: • Building a new brand from the ground up presented a complex and ambitious undertaking. While the client had a strong foundation — including a clear vision for an African-inspired skincare line, established relationships with local laboratories, formal education in cosmetic formulation, and direct connections with African communities for sourcing natural ingredients — the entire brand ecosystem still needed to be created and strategically positioned. This included the development of the brand identity, packaging system, marketing materials, digital presence, and overall market positioning. THE OUTCOME: • Established a strong and authentic brand foundation rooted in African botanical heritage, clean skincare principles, and purpose-driven storytelling, recognized by the Beauty Shortlist Awards with Winner and Finalist awards across seven categories in 2023 • Supported retail and wholesale expansion through the development of a scalable product line and substantial growing market interest across Asia and the United States • Developed a distinctive market position that combined ethically sourced ingredients, wellnessfocused self-care, and social impact initiatives with a unique cultural identity, helping the brand stand out within the highly competitive clean beauty and wellness market • Created a thoughtful and cohesive product philosophy supported by premium product naming, African-inspired design language, and transparent ingredient communication. Built a strong foundation for long-term growth through the integration of natural ingredients, modern wellness aesthetics, and meaningful brand storytelling

WWW.REFEEDCANADA.COM CLIENT 2023 - 2025
THE CHALLENGE: • Confusing brand and business structure created by the coexistence of two names — ReFeed Farm and ReFeed Canada — despite the company not operating as an actual farm. • Unclear brand positioning that unintentionally presented ReFeed Farm as a non-profit organization, misaligning with the company’s commercial business model. • Existing branding lacked scalability and failed to reflect the company’s long-term vision, innovation, and desired direction for future growth. • Outdated and visually inconsistent product packaging and marketing materials weakened overall brand perception and communication. THE OUTCOME: • Developed a cohesive brand architecture that clearly defines relationships between multiple brands within the organization while preventing brand overlap and internal competition. • Established a scalable brand structure designed to support future growth, product diversification, and brand expansion. • Created a unified umbrella brand system connecting related products and services under one recognizable name, logo, and tagline and design elements. • Designed clean, refined packaging and marketing materials that communicate professionalism, innovation, and a strong mission-driven identity. • Modernized the visual identity of existing products and product catalogs, improving brand consistency while clearly communicating ReFeed Canada’s unique market position and value proposition. • Created the hand-drawn Circular Nutrition™ infographic to visually communicate the company’s innovative approach in a clear and accessible format across packaging and marketing materials.
WWW.CLEAROHS.COM CLIENT 2026
THE CHALLENGE: Clear Health Group provides mobile occupational health and nurse-led healthcare services throughout British Columbia, including the Lower Mainland, Fraser Valley, Vancouver Island, and the BC Interior. The client initially approached us to create visual assets for two of their businesses to support marketing materials and website development aimed at improving the sales process and generating qualified leads. A key objective was to present both businesses as authentic, community-oriented, and locally rooted, with a strong emphasis on showcasing the people behind the brand and highlighting the professionalism and approachability of their team members. THE OUTCOME: • Strengthened the company’s digital presence through strategically developed content and visual materials focused on highlighting the real people behind the brand and reinforcing an authentic, approachable identity • Contributed to increased website traffic, higher lead generation, stronger audience engagement, and longer on-site interaction from prospective clients who were better informed and more prepared to move forward with services • Helped build greater client trust and loyalty by creating consistent brand representation centered around the same team members delivering the services, supporting stronger long-term relationships and increased repeat business.
