Writing Contest
Students in Grades 5-6 and 7-8 have entered a Sarnia Christian School writing contest! Thank you to the judges who are evaluating the entries during the month of May. Winners will be announced in June, and winning entries will be published in the school newsletter! The topic is "What does Christian education mean to you?" Entries are being evaluated for their clarity, creativity, critical thinking, and use of conventions.

A Christian High School in our area!
Are you interested in having a Christian high school in this part of Ontario? This question was the topic of a town hall meeting that happened in November. The room was packed, and many good ideas were shared as we started an initial brainstorm to imagine what it could look like. All information and ideas were collected and collated for the board. From this information, the board has struck a task force with the mandate to further pursue the idea of starting a Christian high school. If you are interested in participating in planning, or are willing to help out as needed, please reach out to Principal Len Smit.
Building Update
The final piece of our build rejuvenation plan that started ten years ago will be completed this summer. If you have driven by the school lately, you will have noticed the old brown bricks have been cladded with Hardy Board, except for the old entrance to the school. This summer, the old entrance and old offices with be torn down, and turned into an additional learning space to meet the needs of the growing school population. The south end four classrooms will also be refitted with brand new cabinets. We have been truly blessed by the support of our community, and, as of right now, this final piece looks to be fully funded. Thank you all for your continued support.
