Every Sunday morning and second Saturday evenings we join together for worship to be centered, to put the fragmented pieces of ourselves back together, to be refilled and inspired before going back out into the world. It doesn't matter what style of worship you prefer or whether your version of “Sunday best” is a suit or jeans. Worship is where it all begins. Your pledge enables us to experience inspiring worship. This takes preparation: writing the sermon, music rehearsals, lighting, sound, video recording, heating and cooling, maintaining the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall, and so much more. We are especially excited to have our new music ministry team in place. Our full-time Minister of Music, Jared Daugherty, and our parttime music staff, Kaitlyn Davis, Associate Director of Music and Organist, Jacob Hare, Contemporary Worship Leader, and John Nipe, Technical Arts Coordinator, are partnering with our pastoral staff to provide powerful and inspirational worship that will help members and those in the community connect with God through worship.

I’m In to Care in Times of Crisis One of the many ways members feel the importance of a church family is during times of crisis, whether through the death of a loved one, an illness, a divorce or some other loss. It is during these times the invisible web of love and concern surrounding you is most strongly felt. Your pastors respond to every one of the pastoral concern calls we receive annually through hospital visits, prayers with families and being a source of comfort. When you give to Sardis, you show Christian love and concern by supporting your church family.
Busy families today work harder than ever to raise a family in a Christ-centered way. Through our recent survey you affirmed that supporting, nurturing, and attracting families to life in Christ at Sardis is one of our highest values. We are currently seeking to call an associate pastor for families. This pastor will be charged with leading us in equipping families to build connections of support for themselves and to raise their children in the church.

I’m In to provide a home for mission to happen. Not only do your gifts provide direct donations to local agencies, your gifts support those agencies through our church campus. Our church is used almost every weekday by community groups, most of whom would not be able to achieve their mission without the space we provide. Sardis’ beautiful 33-acre campus is an instrument for mission when we provide space for various community groups. The centerpiece for this home is our Sardis Mission House, built in 2011, where we host Room in the Inn every winter and have dedicated office space for Presbyterian Psychological Services.

I’m In Because My Giving Blesses Others You are changing lives when your gifts reach across oceans to help provide medical supplies in Haiti. We also planted and nurtured the people during our mission trip to Haiti earlier this year. “If you want to build something to last a year, plant grain. If you want it to last a decade, plant a tree, but if you want it to last for generations, plant people”. –Actionnel Fleurisma
Your gifts also reached “unto the ends of the earth” during our senior high youth mission trip to Belize where our youth built relationships with local orphans, led in worship and participated in their version of Vacation Bible School. They dug ditches and built fences and all learned the meaning of ties that bind.
Through the Alternative Gift Market, you built three wells in Africa that will serve 290 people. Safe drinking water is the difference between life and death for many in these villages, and now life flows freely there thanks to your generosity.

From the youngest child to the oldest member, when you pledge to Sardis you are making a promise to invest in Christian Education. Everything needed to make this program possible (staff, space, curriculum, technology, supplies, etc.) happens because of your gifts. Students in our confirmation class have been learning, exploring their faith, and getting to know one another through outings, retreats, and weekly classes. Confirmation is a time not just of fun and relationship building, but a time of reflection and decision-making.
I’m In for Our Youth In August, the Youth Ministry kicked off the fall with over 180 youth, parents, and advisors, ready and excited for another year. The dedicated volunteers, along with the staff, bring creativity, enthusiasm, and love to an outstanding program. Youth know when they come to a Sardis Presbyterian Church youth event, they will have a great time and explore their faith, but more importantly, they know there are other youth and adults who truly care about them.
I’m Included in the Life of Sardis When you ask Sardis members “Why Sardis?”, the most common response is “It feels like home.” There are many things, large and small, that contribute to this feeling: chatting over coffee before Sunday school, the driver on the Sardis minibus transporting folks from Plantation Estates to worship, sharing stories around the campfire at Sardis Under the Stars, meeting together in a Mustard Seed Group, and many more events.
