Held on Saturday, February 11 at the Wilton Wildlife Preserve & Park at 10:30 a.m. May have an indoor facility for this one depending on COVID. Showcasing two contrasting sensibilities in clay — exquisite abstract vessels by Chip McKenney (FL) and expressive organic sculptures by Cheryl Horning (Greenwich). McKenney and Horning were paired together for this duo exhibition because of their unique interpretations of abstraction in clay. Additionally, they were both educated at Skidmore College and were former students of Regis Brodie, a tenured professor of Art at the Department of Art and Art History at Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs for more than thirty years. Abstract/Organic will run February 11 – March 18, with an opening reception on Saturday, Feb. 11, 5-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free. The Schacht Gallery, located at 167 Hayes Rd, Schuylerville, is open daily from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. and by appointment. 2 Camps. Costuming From Start to Finish: Over the course of the week, students will draw a rendering, learn basic machine and sewing skills, create a small project to practice skill, and collaborate with instructors and peers for ideas to make their design a reality. They will also be encouraged to utilize up-cycled materials and found objects. Feb. 20-24, 9 a.m. –Noon, ages 10 - adult, cost is $275 includes all materials.

24th Annual Chowderfest

Discover Saratoga is excited to announce the 24th Annual Chowderfest on Saturday, February 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Event goers will have the opportunity to enjoy 4 oz. samples of chowder for $2 at participating Saratoga County establishments and vote for their favorite. This event is coordinated by Discover Saratoga and presented by Saranac and White Claw. Free shuttles to downtown Saratoga Springs will be available from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Saratoga Casino Hotel. Saratoga Voices’ popular dinner cabaret series returns on February 11 and 12, featuring 100 years of Broadway songs. Under the baton of Dr. Michael Lister, you’ll hear the best of Broadway from 1923 to 2023; from Irving Berlin to LinManuel Miranda. A sumptuous dinner at The Vista at Van Patten Golf Club, 924 Main St., Clifton Park, NY will include salmon, sirloin steak, a vegetarian option, and carrot cake. The events begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, February 11 and 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 12 with appetizers and a cash bar, followed by dinner and concert. Cabaret tickets ($85 each) can be purchased at proctors.org or saratogavoices.org. Reservations must be received by February 3. No tickets are available at the door.

(MVEDD), and the NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets on February 15 from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the workshop. It will include information addressing the process to apply, benefits of certification, exclusive grant, and marketing opportunities, and more. The program offers opportunities for traditional dairy, livestock, and produce farms, but also for less conventional producers (fresh cut flowers, maple, honey, firewood, craft beverage ingredients, craft beverage production and more). Camp with Elyse Young

Town of Malta Parks and Recreation Department announces February Break Drama Camp for ages 10-15 will run Tuesday, Feb. 21 through Friday, Feb. 24 from10 a.m. -3 p.m. The camp will be taught by Malta’s Artistic Director Elyse Young and will include acting skills, vocal techniques, theater games, crafts, rehearsals and performance of a short play. Camp and performance will take place at the Malta Community Center, One Bayberry Dr, Malta. Chili Bowl at Saratoga Springs City Center on Saturday

SARATOGA SPRINGS — Saratoga Clay Arts Center’s 10th Chili Bowl Fundraiser will be held at the Saratoga City Center on Saturday, Feb. 4, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participating celebrity chefs include Jonathan Quinn of Osteria Danny, Pat Brown of The Brook Tavern, Sam Squires of Druthers, Jasper Alexander of Hattie’s, and Rob Cardona of Cardona’s Market. Musical guest is Rich Ortiz. Guests purchase tickets to enter, choose a handmade bowl, enjoy live music and participate in the chili taste testing. A portion of the proceeds benefit the local cancer nonprofit organization To Life.
