International Real Estate Conferences, Expos and Events in 2021

Interested in global real estate? Interested in networking with international real estate professionals? Aside from getting one’s NAR CIPS (Certified International Property Specialist) designation, a real estate professional wanting to take their business to the global level should be familiar with, and should try to attend, these international real estate conferences, expos, and events to familiarize oneself with international real estate markets. Here’s a panorama of those happening this year, COVID travel restrictions permitting, of course. Mark your calendars, get set, GO!

REALTOR® QUEST SIP - SALAO IMOBILIARIO DO PORTO

SEPTEMBER 23-26, 2021, PORTO, PORTUGAL

The second edition of this expo will be hosting 30,000 attendees (real estate professionals, national and international investors, international guests, and the general public), and 130 exhibitors. The exhibitors are comprised of real estate mediation companies (access is reserved for companies licensed by IMPIC and associates of APEMIP), tourism associations, construction companies, construction material providers, banks and financing companies, services, and local and national government entities. The goal of the expo is to promote real estate offerings in Portugal, to attract international investors, and to promote the quality of Portugal’s real estate. MAY 19-20, 2021, TORONTO, CANADA

Now in its 16th year, REALTOR® QUEST is Canada’s biggest real estate conference and trade show servicing over 56,000 Realtors®. In 2019, some 10,000 Realtors® attended from North America and from around the world. The event will be held at the Toronto Congress Centre (TCC), South Building, near Pearson International Airport, major hotels, and a number of restaurants. MAY 27-30, 2021, MADRID, SPAIN SIMA is the largest and most influential real estate event in Spain. It is a commercial and a business development and networking platform for professionals and companies, both at the national and the international level. The SIMA Expo’s focus is on first homes, replacement homes, holiday homes, investment properties in Spain or abroad - as well as services pertaining to real estate such as financing, design, décor, and construction. simaexpo.com/en MIPIM

JUNE 6-19, CANNES, FRANCE

Established in 1990, MIPIM is a 4-day real estate event in Cannes, France. MIPIM is perhaps the most attended exhibition and networking event in the international real estate industry. The 130 conference sessions provide insight into key sectors and property hot spots. Numerous social and networking events are held as well. INTERNATIONAL ECONOMIC FORUM OF THE AMERICAS (IEFA)

OCTOBER 4-5, 2021, MIAMI, FLORIDA

Following the inaugural Conference of Montreal in June 1995, the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA) was founded to address the globalization of the economies. Its mission is also to facilitate agreements, offer business opportunities, and provide unique insights from leading experts. The forum now has more than 9,900 participants and over 600 speakers combined under the auspices of four annual conferences: The Conference of Montreal, the Toronto Global Forum, the World Strategic Forum in Miami, and the Conference of Paris. Hosting over 2,000 exhibitors, the EXPO REAL offers a comprehensive international trade fair for the real estate sector.
