Hemlock Studio

Social Enterprise Hub Two Nations Crossing, City of Fredericton, NB

Hemlock Studio has an agile way of working — our small studio is collaborative with alike design groups and specialists talent under one independent studio.

A NFP group is driving an initiative to develop a tiny house community which will provide adequate housing and affordable housing alternatives. A 63 acre land parcel on the North-side of City of Fredericton, is currently zoned for commercial big box store use. The proposed rezoning development application will aim to establish a residential community of 200 sf tiny homes, providing shelter for the local homeless and vulnerable populations.

Hemlock Studio is a design consultancy that specializes in spaces that question the line between indoor and outdoor living. Our focus is designing spaces that improve how people use and respect the natural surroundings.

Project Objectives 1.

Develop a cohesive design theme and strategy for site planning and social gathering community center.

2.

Achieve simple and naturalistic private and public zones to function as an indoor and outdoor gathering space for community members and guests, drawing inspiration from surrounding context and environmental constraints.

3.

Create stunning visual renderings to support the project to attract investment and facilitate rezoning.
