Fall 2023 l Partner: Francesca Evangelista l Professor: Sarah Lorezen
This partner project aims to create a new library and learning center at the Citrus Community College. Unlike traditional libraries which focus mainly on learning from books and other physical materials, this library brings importance to learning through collaboration with other students. Focusing on community college students’ needs of food, rest, study spaces and help areas, this library includes a food street and multiple areas for collaborative study, quiet study and outdoor experience areas.
In this project I worked on plans, diagrams, elevations, models and some of the renders.

Spring 2022 l Professor: Barry Milofsky
This project is a mixed 10 unit residential with commercial spaces on the bottom located in Silver Lake Blvd, Los Angeles. Designed for recent college graduates to young couples, this project features mostly studio and one bedroom apartments with one two bedroom apartment on the podium level. Creating a sense of connectivity and community within the building and with the larger community, different sized outdoor terrace spaces are featured on each level to enable residents to get outside and connect with their neighbors. The main terraces feature the main street of Silver Lake Blvd. allowing people to connect to, hear and be a part of the larger community.

The main material used for the exterior is tan aluminum composite siding with red and bronze aluminum composite siding as accent colors. This material was chosen for its excellent durability, lightness, as well as its wide variety of colors.

This partner project aims to create a better connection and relationship between the San Donnino Village and the nearby incinerator. This relationship has previously been a negative one with the incinerator causing many problems for the village including health, smell and pollution. Pollution along with the negative connection that the incinerator brings has left this site unused, unvisited and unenjoyable. By focusing on the ideas of restoration and connection, we hope to turn a once polluted and waste filled land to one filled with greenery, plants and life.
In this project I mainly worked on plans, diagrams and renders.

Spring 2024 l Professor: Mitchell DeJanett
This project focuses on providing the neighborhood of Lincoln Park with much needed resources. Like most of East Los Angeles, Lincoln Park is in a food desert where most of its residents are unable to easily access fresh produce within 1 miles of their residents. Most of the residents also have a lower education rate despite there being many educational resouces within the neighborhood. Agri-Teca looks to start addressing these two issues by partnering with two organization, the LA County Branch Library and Homeboy Industries, to provide a library, food distribution and intensive agricultural growing spaces to provide the community with fresh produce and an enlarged place of study.

Summer 2023 l Supervisor: Carlos Madrid III
This study was for an installation at the LMU campus in Los Angeles. Using a pre-existing sign design and specific lighting types, I modeled out the sign in Rhino and used Enscape to test different lighting colors. This study specifically looked at which colors would work best at night on the red reflective metal material.

Summer 2023 l Supervisor: Carlos Madrid III

Working closely with my supervisor, Carlos Madrid III, I worked to update project submissions for LMU SFTV and LMU Drollinger. I also worked to update the booklet for the LA’s New Bus Shelters project. Using Blurb, I tested different book and paper types to see which worked best.
