Fall is here again, the older I get the quicker it comes around! Once again, we want to welcome you the annual fall Red Dirt Roundup sale. With the boys out of the house, Mandy and I are finding ourselves with less free time! We have decided to trim down our Registered herd and looking at how we were going to do that, we have decided to liquidate our entire fall program. We have held nothing back and most of these cows are the ones that have been producing bulls for our commercial program as well as our sale bulls. These cows have never been pampered and have all stayed in our program, calving unassisted, maintaining body condition, and breeding back, on native pasture and protein supplement during the winter. We handle all our Registered cows just like we do our commercial females; efficiency, fertility, and longevity in harsh environments is a must. We retain ownership of all our calves to the rail, selling pounds of red meat. Our 2022 calf crop graded 95% high Choice and Prime and all went to Whole Foods as program cattle. The females offered in the sale all have these genetic traits. We will offer to buy back the calves at a premium out of these females at weaning if the new owner has interest. I repeat myself year after year on this statement: It takes a host of people to do what we do. The guys and gals on the ranch are like family. I would put them up against anyone! Mike and Nancy Marshall and their girls Madie and Rhyane have been with the Ranch 25 years this past September. This is my first year to help with the marketing of this historic event, the minute you pull into the ranch it automatically feels like home! This year the crew at Chain Ranch decided to disperse their entire herd of fall calving registered cows, nothing held back including the donor females as a sale highlight. Purchaser’s Risk: All animals are the owner’s risk prior to their sale and become property of the purchaser as soon as declared sold by the auctioneer. Bidding: Any disputes or challenges regarding bids of tie bids will be settled by the auctioneer and his decision will be final. Certificate of Registry: a certificate of registry for each animal will be transfered to the buyer at the seller’s expense. Health: All animals are eligible for interstate shipment. Interstate health papers prepared by an accredited veterinarian will be furnished on each animal sold. 1. The producer contacts the Red Angus Association of America at 940 | 226 |4762 and answers a short supplier enrollment questionnaire over the phone. RAAA staff will ask general management, animal identification and breeding questions.If needed, the producer may be asked to supply additional documentation on breedin such as semen receipt, lease agreements or information on purchased females.

2. After all dcumentation is recorded, staff will ship thetags directly to the producer who must tag calves before they leave the ranch of origin - birth,branding, prreconditioning, weaning or before loading on the semi.
