It is not being in one place or in another. It is being between one thing that has gone and another that is coming. Something that is no longer and that is to be.

It belongs to both situations and neither at the same time. It incorporates the dimension of time to understand that it is not the beginning or the end, it is about an intermediate zone. A space or a tangible emotional or metaphorical state.
For example, an airport as a waiting place, the transition to maturity, mourning for a loved one, a dream, a corridor that connects two separate rooms, are liminal processes.
