COMPLAINTS AND FEEDBACK PROCEDURES
At Santa Sophia Catholic College, we value open, respectful and constructive communication with our families. We are committed to addressing concerns promptly and fairly in accordance with the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) Complaint Management Policy and Procedures, which are available on our website.
In addition to the CSPD policy, Santa Sophia Catholic College has established school-based procedures to support the effective management of concerns and complaints. Parents and carers can raise a concern or make a complaint in one of two ways:
In writing – Please email your concern to the College via the Santa Sophia Catholic College email address santasophia@parra.catholic.edu.au or directly to the relevant staff member if appropriate.
Verbally – Please contact the College Front Office by phone. A record of your concern will be made and forwarded to the appropriate staff member for follow-up
We kindly ask that all communication, whether verbal or written, is respectful and courteous.
Working together in a spirit of mutual respect enables us to resolve concerns effectively and continue fostering a positive partnership between home and school.

WINTER APPEAL 2026: LIVING OUR FAITH THROUGH SERVICE
This term, the Santa Sophia College community held its annual Winter Appeal, with our students, staff and families from Kindergarten to Year 12 coming together to support Vinnies and their endless work in helping the most marginalised people in our community experiencing need and homelessness/
Our School of Curiosity students from Kindergarten to Year 4 donated non-perishable food items through the Food Drive, supporting pantry supplies and hampers for local families The School of Connect students from Years 5 to 12 contributed to the Cozy Clothing Collection, donating jackets, blankets, jumpers, scarves and beanies to help people stay warm this winter.
The whole College took part in our annual Hoodies for Hope, wearing hoodies to raise awareness and funds while reflecting on the challenges of homelessness.
Years 10 to 12 also took part in the Winter Sleepout, spending a night at school in solidarity with those without a place to call home. Through prayer and shared experiences of solidarity, students deepened their understanding of homelessness while raising over $15,000 this year for Vinnies' outreach services - an outstanding effort!
A NEW MILESTONE: SERVING WITH THE GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY VINNIES VAN
This year's Winter Appeal also marked an exciting milestone for Santa Sophia College as our students completed their very first volunteer shift with the Greater Western Sydney Vinnies Van Service
As part of our involvement in this ongoing outreach program run by Vinnies, our senior students joined some of their teachers in serving meals, drinks and essential care packs to members of the local community experiencing homelessness and hardship
The evening was an opportunity for students to encounter others with compassion, listen to their stories and recognise the dignity and worth of every person they met It was a powerful reminder that sometimes the greatest gift we can offer is our presence, our time and our willingness to walk alongside others.

Your donations, fundraising and service have made a real difference to those in need. We also thank you for your ongoing commitment to social justice, which continues to shape a culture of compassion and faith in action across our College

CELEBRATING OUR ROBOTHINK INNOVATORS!
This term, 20 students from Years 2 and 3, representing Santa Sophia Catholic College's Gifted & Talented and High Potential cohort, participated in the RoboThink Genius Hour Project, an exciting initiative of the College's Gifted & Talented Program.
Throughout the program, students immersed themselves in the worlds of STEM, coding, robotics and engineering, developing their problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity and collaboration skills while designing and bringing their innovative ideas to life.
At the conclusion of the program, students were proudly presented with certificates in recognition of their enthusiasm, creativity, perseverance and outstanding participation. Their willingness to embrace challenges, think outside the box and explore new possibilities was inspiring to witness.
Congratulations to all of our RoboThink innovators on their fantastic achievements We look forward to seeing where their curiosity, creativity and passion for innovation take them next!
