This term Year 12 Drama students have worked exceedingly hard to create and fine tune their individual projects. Students choose to specialise in an area of theatre such as promotional design or live performance to develop a major work.
In this issue:
Intro and SIP Goals (video)
Student Spotlight: Dakota,Chelsea and Beau (video)
Closing Message: Mrs Rachel Vecchio and Mr Chris Hersey (video)
In addition, designs of promotional material for the award winning First Nations play titled Waltzing the Wilarra have been created to highlight the poignant messages of love, friendship and reconciliation.
This year we have a diverse range of monologue performances, from an ambitious Jewish female comedian to a tormented Irishman who struggles to come to terms with a crumbling friendship. These 8 minute monologues transport the audience to a different time and place, yet raise questions so relevant today. The Group Performance project is also well underway and shaping up to be an entertaining exploration of the question; Just Because You Can, Should You?”
The Year 12 HSC Industrial Technology students are currently immersing themselves in their Major Projects, demonstrating remarkable dedication and creativity Each student has selected a unique timber furniture project, incorporating their own design modifications to showcase their individual needs. These projects will be evaluated based on several criteria, including the degree of difficulty, the range of skills demonstrated, and overall quality. Throughout this journey, the students have mastered new skills and techniques with various tools and equipment. Their progress is commendable, and they are well on their way to achieving success in the HSC!
