Fun in the Sun Summer is here and we have planned a host of activities to keep you busy! Join us for these heat beating, fun filled activities - make this a summer to remember. Senior Picnic at Howarth Park Wed July 9, 11am-3pm, $5 member/ $10 non-member, #67729 Relax in the shade with friends and enjoy a lunch of beef, turkey or veggie burgers, beverages, salads and dessert. This summer celebration is co-sponsored by the Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary Club. Be prepared for the festivities, bring your cards, musical instrument and dancing shoes. Lunch is served at Noon. At 1:00pm, Ray Walker and his Dixieland musicians will entertain us for the balance of the day. Get your tickets early as event sells out fast and there are NO tickets sold at the park! $5.00 to members; $10 nonmembers. Remember: Membership has its rewards! Live at Juilliard Sundays July 6 August 10, 5-7pm, FREE, Juilliard Park Enjoy the extra hours of daylight at this evening outdoor concert series. Hear the musical styling of Linda Ferro Band, The Pulsators, Miss Kitty and the Big Dogs, Ruckatan, Solid Air, Apple Z.

Parks Make Life Better® BASH Friday July 18, 5-10pm, FREE, Howarth Park This is a great one to bring the grandkids to! July is national Parks and Recreation Month and we are 1

hosting a full evening of celebration in Howarth Park to commemorate the occasion. The event will feature the Sonoma County Traveling Fair complete with county fair games and exhibits, a live Dixieland band and of course the Howarth Park train, carousel and petting farm will be open for guest enjoyment. Then at 8:30pm we will show a family-friendly feature movie (title TBD) on the jumbo screen out on the lawn. Neighborhood Flea Market Sat 8/23 8am-1pm, FREE, BV Senior Center Take advantage of the cooler morning hours and visit this eclectic flea market to find that one-of-a-kind item that just isn’t sold in stores anymore. (Vendor space is still available for $20; call for details 707-545-8608). Water Fitness Classes Finley Aquatic Center, Call (707) 543-3745 for times and fees Refresh in the pool while getting your exercise! This 60-minute workout uses the resistance of water to provide strength training and aerobic conditioning for people of all fitness levels. Improve your strength, endurance, flexibility, and well-being. Class is conducted in shallow water, non-swimmers are welcome. Summer BBQ on the Patio Wed 8/20 11:30am-1:00pm, $2 member/$5 non-member, BV Senior Center Come and enjoy a great hot dog lunch with all the fixings on our shaded tree-lined patio.
