Spring Summer Activity Guide Your Spring/Summer Activity Guide has arrived in the mail! Please take a look at all of the fun things we have arranged for you and your family to participate in this season. Here are some highlights of programs available for the 50+ community this season. ST. PATRICK’S DAY 5K Join us for the fifth annual St. Patrick’s Day 5K! Proceeds benefit Santa Rosa Recreation & Parks Scholarship Fund. Race time is 3pm in Juilliard Park. There will be a commemorative mug for all participants. Post-race festivities include free beer or root beer mug fill-up for all racers, judged costume contest and entertainment. March 13. EARTH DAY ON STAGE Check out an outdoor showcase of Santa Rosa’s performing arts scene, earth day activities and “green” vendors in Courthouse Square in downtown Santa Rosa. SANTA ROSA HISTORY TOUR ON ROSIE THE TROLLEY Rosie the Trolley will take you on a fascinating two-hour tour with Santa Rosa’s most charismatic historian, Bill Montgomery. Bill will share the captivating history of our local treasures from the early 1800s to the great earthquake. Participants will take a few short walks to get a better view of historical sites. Board Rosie the Trolley from the main parking lot at Howarth Park, near the snack

Curious about honey bees and what’s happening with them? Spend two hours learning honey bee basics, the current status of how they are faring, and some simple facts about becoming a beekeeper. The swarm season is beginning so it’s a great time to consider becoming a beekeeper or learn about other ways to support these very important pollinators. *NOTE: NO LIVE BEES IN CLASS. POSTURE, BALANCE AND RELACATION WITH PARMATMA In this special two hour class you will learn some simple and effective exercises to improve your posture while seated and when standing which will enhance your movement patterns for daily activities.
