If the merger is approved there will be more than $300 million in benefits for New Mexicans:

Benefits of AVANGRID/PNM Merger

• $67 million in rate credits to PNM’s customers for three years, which means lower monthly bills; • $10 million fund to help people pay for past due bills due to COVID financial hardship; • $15 million million fund to help low-income households become more energy efficient; • $1 million in scholarships for STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) in the Albuquerque metropolitan area over the two years following closing;

• $1 million in funding for new apprenticeships in the Albuquerque metropolitan area;

• 150 full-time jobs to New Mexico over three years following closing, and the new jobs will remain for no less than five years thereafter. Each job is expected to have an average salary of more than $90,000; and the total economic impact is estimated to exceed $200 million;

• $25 million in contributions to economic development projects or programs in New Mexico over the three years following closing, which will help develop even more jobs;

• $12.5 million ($2.5 million/year for five years) to help impacted indigenous community groups in the

Four Corners region;

• Establishment of Minority- and Woman-Owned Business Procurement Program within six months following closing that means more business going to local companies;

• Continuing to fund non-profit donations at the same or greater level than PNM has in the past.
