As part of Santa Fe Christian’s Annual Auction, we take great pleasure in acknowledging individuals who have left a legacy on our school community with the Faithful Servant Award.

This year, we are thrilled to honor Steve and Cheri Kuptz for their selfless contributions to SFC.

The Kuptz family holds a

special place in the heart of our community. Proud parents of Amy (2016 SFC alumni), Whitney, and Kelsey, they reflect a deep commitment to our school.

They still remain close with many families from SFC. One of their favorite highlights was hosting a college graduation for some of the 2016 alumni who missed their college graduation.

Steve served as the CFO at SFC from 2009 through 2015 and subsequently in various committee and board positions through 2021. It was a time of incredible growth as God laid the next step in the foundation for the SFC we know today. The seeds for the new campus buildings were initially planted in 2009 and 2010 and faithfully stewarded through to completion in 2022. Cheri was active in all of her daughter’s activities, hosting family gatherings, chaperoning cheerleading trips, and substitute teaching.

Steve and Cheri continue to connect with those families they came to love during their time at SFC. Join us in congratulating Steve and Cheri Kuptz on receiving this award. We deeply appreciate their impact on the lives of our students and families. Thank you for your faithful commitment to SFC!

Auction Fine Print

GENERAL AUCTION GUIDELINES

All sales are final. Refunds will be made only if SFC is unable to fulfill the item as listed or at SFC’s discretion.

All purchases must be paid in full on the night of the auction by cash, check, VISA, AmEx, Discover or MasterCard. Sales tax will be added to those items considered taxable by the State Board of Equalization.

Please pay careful attention to all conditions, restrictions, and expiration dates on items and services. Unless otherwise stated, all auction certificates must be used within one year of the auction date.

It is the responsibility of the winner to contact the donor after the auction to make arrangements for trips, special experiences, home and hotel stays.

SFC has made every reasonable effort to describe each item correctly. All items are sold “as is” by Santa Fe Christian Schools. The items are sold without warranty, expressed or implied, and without representation by Santa Fe Christian Schools as to the actual value of an item, either for tax purposes or for general use.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, only the amount paid for an auction item in excess of the fair market value of that prize is tax deductible.

Donor Advised Funds (DAF) can only be used for the amount paid for an auction item in excess of the fair market value.

ONLINE AUCTION Those who have RSVP’d to attend the celebration as well as those who have self-registered will receive a text message with a personalized link on their smartphone. Clicking the link will log the bidder into the online auction with their personal account.

To bid on an item, enter the item number and set your maximum bid. The bidding program will enter the next minimum raise for you and automatically increase your bid as needed to stay in the lead. When you have been outbid, the auction software will notify you.

Some items have a ‘Buy It Now’ option. If a bidder chooses to ‘Buy It Now’, the bidding for that item is complete. Otherwise, the bidder with the highest bid at the time of the online auction closing is declared the winner. Please note, if you don’t choose ‘Buy It Now’, the software will allow you to continue bidding beyond the ‘Buy It Now’ price.

Online packages have stated values from the donor. Whatever you pay above the value is considered a donation for tax purposes.

“Priceless” online experiences, such as ‘Teacher for the Day’, are considered donations in their entirety unless the experience also includes items with fair market value, i.e., admission tickets to a theme park, etc.

Online auction winners may pick up their items at the SFC Admin office on Friday, May 3, from 9:00am –3:30pm.

LIVE AUCTION A professional auctioneer will conduct the live auction. To place a bid, raise your pre-printed bid number high until the auctioneer acknowledges your bid.

Following the close of bidding for each item, the auctioneer will announce the winning bidder. This constitutes a legal contract to buy.

EXPRESS CHECK-OUT Our express check-out system is designed to speed up your departure at the end of the evening. Simply follow these steps: First, please opt to allow SFC to retain your credit card information either when making your online RSVP or when checking in at the event. This will serve as payment for any purchases that you make.

You will not be charged if you do not make any purchases.

At the end of the evening, go to the check-out station to receive a summary of your purchases and to collect your certificates. You do not need to see a cashier. Your finalized auction receipt will be mailed to you the following week.

Please note that all winning bids must be entered before statements can be printed, therefore check-out will not become available until the end of the evening.
