Virtual Auction - How to Join Instructions

We are thrilled to have you at SFC’s Virtual Auction!

Saturday, April 24, 6:00pm PRESHOW BEGINS AT 5:45PM

Here are some tips to participate in our live, virtual auction: 1. Reassign tickets. If you purchased multiple tickets, you will need to assign them to each guest. To do this: a. Log in at: event.gives/sfcs b. Go to MY TICKETS in the menu. c. Click the RE-ASSIGN TICKET button to assign each ticket to your guest. d. For each guest, enter their name, cell phone number, and email. Each guest will receive a text message with a link to create their own event.gives account.

2. Log in early! The pre-show begins promplty at 5:45pm, and the entire event is one hour.

3. Join the livestream. On Saturday, April 24, at 5:45pm go to event.gives/sfcs. a. Click the START EVENT button in the red box to connect to the livestream.

b. If you are not already logged in, you will be prompted to do so. A pop-up will appear on your screen as seen in the picture below. Click the LOGIN button.

c. On the Login page, enter in your mobile phone number and password. d. Then click the LOGIN button.

e. Once you are logged in, you will automatically connect to the livestream.

You may switch to full screen mode by clicking on the full-screen icon located within the red box in the upper right corner of your screen.

f. If you are watching as an individual, make sure the audio and video icons are turned on in the upper right corner of the screen to view and hear the livestream. g. If you are watching with a group, make sure someone is projecting the event onto a shared screen. Each guest can participate in the live virtual auction on their individual device, however, make sure to turn off the audio in order to avoid feedback.

4. Will I be seen on the screen? No, you will be watching the show and be able to bid or donate via the button on your screen, but you will not be seen by others.

5. Bid or donate. We will be auctioning fabulous items throughout the entire virtual auction, followed by a paddle raise. All bidding and donations can be made directly on your screen. a. To bid or donate, TAP TO DONATE and confirm with the button that will appear on the screen during the auction or paddle raise.

b. To confirm your donation, click the CONFIRM button.

c. You will be notified via text message if you have the winning bid for an auction item.

6. Check out. At the end of the auction, you will receive a text from the event.gives system inviting you to check out.

7. Claim your prize. The SFC Development team will contact auction winners within two weeks with details about how to redeem your prize. Please contact development@sfcs.net with any questions.
