Envision Fund (LGBTQ+) Since the 1990s, we have also proudly been the home of the Envision Fund, New Mexico’s first and largest philanthropic entity dedicated to LGBTQ+ causes in New Mexico. Led by an advisory committee representative of New Mexico’s diverse LGBTQ+ community, Envision has granted over $1 million since its inception.

Empower! Black Futures Community Fund In 2023, the Santa Fe Community Foundation launched its third and newest statewide giving circle, the Empower! Black Futures Community Fund, to support Black life, arts, and culture in New Mexico. Through targeted grants, strategic partnerships, and an equitable approach to community philanthropy, the Empower!

Black Futures Community Fund will foster Black artistic expression, preserve cultural heritage, and promote community development for generations to come.

we were able to release a Golden Eagle that came in with West Nile Virus. We took him back to Grants, New Mexico, where he was found on the ground at a ranch. He flew very high up at his release, which is always a good sign. Altitude equals health for Eagles. We’ve also had several intakes of Raptors all the way from Tucumcari and the Navajo Nation, and as close as Santa Fe. A baby Barn Owl came in on a hay truck. She was there for three days, and her siblings had died due to dehydration. Once we got her back on her feet, we put her in with a foster Barn Owl mom. She is starting to fly now and is doing great.

performers and to enrich the cultural fabric of Santa Fe. Audience responses to [our recent show, Beyond the Binary], described feeling inspired by the power and dedication of young people to change the world, the importance of youthled queer stories, and thoughtful anti-colonial storytelling.

One audience member said, Beyond the Binary allowed me to see a full range of nonbinary and gender nonconforming folks of all ages. I loved being able to see myself in them on stage, to feel represented and seen. The storyline was powerful, the performances heartfelt and raw. It challenges me to see outside of normal constructs of our day to day and connect with a more universal through line.’

assistance, so the meals and food boxes we provide are crucial to their basic needs. In 2023, we had an increase of approximately 37% in our clientele and served a total of 56,330 meals. To meet the needs of our clients, we have made our daily menus easier for our volunteers to prepare and serve, and we have increased the number of emergency meals we have on hand to use as a backup if we do not have enough meals for a specific day.
