Odysseus’ Tears

Distant land I once called home has sailed far away Left out to roam through the endless ocean sway My heart has broken alone

The ocean orchestra I once adored brings bitter taste onto my tongue My tortured years spent abroad have been cursed into oblivion

Hardship follows day and night and as years pass, what was once bright has become a sunless sight
