When the dirt sticks to it, make sure to clean the dirt using the cloth. Dry lube can be the best use of lubricant in a dry environment. Less dirt gets stick to it but in case if the rain comes, it can easily remove the dry lubricant. Overlubricating can lead to poor performance and component damage. If you use excess lubricant than it will attract dirt and other particles. Performance may decrease due to this. Excess lubricant should be carefully wiped.
