At the start of the Health Check process, Acumen will extract data and information regarding your TNE partnerships and services, and will evaluate against sector benchmarks, submitting a detailed report that will contain analysis and recommendations for refinement and future growth strategies.

What data does Acumen need?

To complete the TNE Health Check process Acumen will need the following, detailed information regarding all of your institution’s TNE partnerships, specifically: • • • • • • •

The name of the partner.

Where the partner is located (city and country).

What courses are delivered via the partnership?

Which model is used to facilitate the partnership (franchised, validated, dual degree etc.)?

What is the retained revenue for each course (fee per student per year of tuition)?

What is the volume of students recruited to each course (ideally for the last three cycles)?

Have other partnered activities been established at the partner (such as research, faculty exchange, student exchange etc.)?

What happens next?

Acumen will review all of the information received and create a detailed report assessing the health of your institution’s TNE partnership portfolio.

The report will contain insights such as: • Geographical presence/footprint of your institution’s TNE provision (benchmarked against similar awarding institutions).

TNE Market-Match The world is a big place, and understanding which are the best markets for your institution to establish TNE partnerships can be a complex and daunting task. Acumen’s TNE Market-Match takes a data led approach to creating you TNE market expansion strategy.

At the start of the Market-Match process, Acumen will extract data and information regarding your institution’s international footprint and broader internationalisation strategy, and will use this information alongside TNE specific sector data to establish the global markets that are most suited to your institution.

How will Acumen play matchmaker?

To complete the TNE Market-Match process Acumen will need the following information from your institution: •

Data relating to the last three cycles of inbound international student recruitment (broken down by levels of education— undergraduate and postgraduate).

By collecting this data Acumen can ascertain which countries and territories are key recruiting markets for the institution.

Data relating to your institution’s alumni network.

By extracting this data Acumen can assess and analyse your institution’s current global footprint.

Macro information regarding all of the institution’s non-TNE partnerships. This will include the names of the partner institutions, the countries within which they reside and the purpose(s) of the partnership (research, student exchange, faculty exchange etc.).

Information regarding your institution’s TNE partnerships, specifically: » Name of the partner institution. » Course(s) delivered via the partnership. » Location (city and country).

What Happens Next?

Once Acumen has received and reviewed all of the information the team will create a detailed report recommending which markets your institution should prioritise, delivering the best growth potential and outcomes.

The report will contain insights such as: • Analysis of the institution’s current international footprint.

• Key opportunities for growth, such as; currently untapped countries and regions and growth opportunities that exist in countries where your institution may already have a TNE presence, via the addition of new partnerships.
