Purpose-built for higher education, the company connects student ambassadors with prospective students from around the world, providing them with in-depth information and expertise that goes far beyond a typical university website.

To locate their South East Asia hub either in Bangkok or Singapore by undertaking a comprehensive assessment of the attractiveness and suitability of these locations and identifying the most favourable legal setup in order to do so.

Market Assessment: Developing an indepth understanding of the current EdTech market and the number of universities and K-12 schools in Singapore and Bangkok, Thailand. This figure was based on Seamless’ internal databases and investigation of the market. Investor Landscape: Understanding the deals landscape in the EdTech space and identifying the key private equity and venture capital investors, their perception of the future growth of the industry and the attractiveness of Bangkok and Singapore. The Seamless team used our in-house expertise and the counsel of informed and trusted partners to gather insights. We complemented this with secondary research.
Following deliberations on the most attractive location, the Seamless team proposed carrying out an operational assessment to determine the most feasible legal entity for the client’s business set-up. The options included local, partnership or Professional Employment Organisations (PEOs). This was backed up by a comparison across various parameters, such as the cost of the set-up, the tax implications for each structure and the ease of wind-down.
