The Heart of our School! by Roger Carter, President English educator Sir Ken Robinson said, 'What you do for yourself dies with you when you leave this world, what you do for others lives on forever." The works of so many people make up the fabric of our school, gifts of time, service, prayer, treasure and sharing the good works of San Miguel are important. I am so thankful for each of you. San Miguel Alumni: Coming together for the greater good! The San Miguel Alumni Association is an exciting and collective initiative from some of our former students. They give their time, share their extraordinary skills and support our mission through special programs. Our vision is to assemble a thriving team of individuals within our network to create an engine room to utilize our knowledge and experience to help our former school through supporting their educational, infrastructure, social and spiritual programs. This is the perfect time to give back, educate, equip and engage! Our success to date is attributed to teamwork. We are truly blessed to have such an incredible alumni team! Meet our neighbors: Tulsa Girls Art School We visited our neighbors and friends at the amazing Tulsa Girls Art School, a no-cost after-school visual arts program. They have been inspiring, encouraging and connecting with girls since 2007. This extraordinary school is much more than art. They provide a safe place for Tulsa girls to grow and discover their unique potential. They see art as a way to inspire and empower girls to build confidence and connect with others; connections that last forever. San Miguel families, teachers, school team, donors, community partners, and volunteers, are making our children’s world greater moment by moment. You went above and beyond for their students during this global crisis. In a very short period of time, you built an incredible support system to bond with our San Miguel students. You created an inviting and exciting environment for our kids, wading far beyond letters and numbers. You were providing an amazing experience: The gift of being known. You took the time to listen to their stories of our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. You made a huge difference in how our students can greet each obstacle and face each day of this pandemic. The 'world' just needed a few extra steps, but you ran a full marathon, spreading hope and nurturing dreams. Thanks for loving and supporting our school!

¡El Corazón de nuestra Escuela! Las obras de tantas personas conforman el tejido de nuestra escuela. Los regalos de tiempo, servicio, oración, tesoro, así como compartir las buenas obras de San Miguel son importantes. Estoy muy agradecido por cada uno de ustedes. Sus acciones realmente los convierten en el corazón de nuestra escuela. Que todos nos esforcemos en poner siempre a los demás primero, sabiendo que nuestro trabajo desinteresado toca una vida para siempre. ¡Tengan la Paz de Dios!
Alumnos de San Miguel: ¡Construyendo un mundo mejor! La Asociación de Alumnos de San Miguel es una iniciativa colectiva de algunos de nuestros antiguos alumnos. Dan su tiempo, comparten sus extraordinarias habilidades y apoyan nuestra misión a través de programas especiales. Nuestra visión es reunir un próspero equipo de personas dentro de nuestra red para impulsar nuestro conocimiento y experiencia, y así poder ayudar a nuestra antigua escuela a apoyar sus programas educativos, de infraestructura, sociales y espirituales. ¡Este es el momento perfecto para retribuir, educar, equipar y participar! Nuestro éxito hasta la fecha se atribuye al trabajo en equipo. ¡Estamos realmente bendecidos de tener un equipo de alumnos tan increíble! Conoce a nuestros vecinos: Escuela de Arte - Tulsa Girls Art School Visitamos a nuestros vecinos y amigos de la increíble escuela de artes Tulsa Girls Art School, un programa extracurricular de artes visuales sin costo. Han estado inspirando y alentando a niñas desde el 2007. Esta extraordinaria escuela es mucho más que arte. Brindan un lugar seguro para que las niñas de Tulsa crezcan y descubran su potencial. Ven el arte como una forma de inspirar y empoderar a las niñas para generar confianza y conectarse con los demás; conexiones que duran para siempre. Las familias, los maestros, el equipo escolar, los contribuyentes, los aliados comunitarios y los voluntarios de San Miguel están haciendo que el mundo de nuestros niños sea más grande, momento a momento. Ustedes hicieron todo lo posible por nuestros estudiantes durante ésta crisis global. En muy poco tiempo, construyeron un sistema de apoyo increíble para vincularse con nuestros estudiantes. Ustedes crearon un entorno atractivo y emocionante para nuestros niños, yendo mucho más allá de las letras y los números. Brindaron una experiencia increíble: El regalo de ser tomados en cuenta. Escucharon las historias de nuestros alumnos del 6.°, 7.° y 8.° grado. Hicieron una gran diferencia en cómo nuestros estudiantes pueden enfrentar cada obstáculo y enfrentar cada día ésta pandemia. El 'mundo' sólo necesitaba algunos pasos adicionales, pero ustedes corrieron un maratón completo, difundiendo esperanza y alimentando sueños. ¡Gracias por querer y apoyar a nuestra escuela!
