Furniture Prototyping Using Advanced Wooden Joinery

The craft of wood joinery is a renowned technique that has sustained structures for generations by relying solely on tension and friction, well before the advent of screws and metal fastenings. Through this experiential workshop, I acquired fundamental knowledge about wood and joinery skills. As a prospective designer, I was challenged to comprehend the various attributes of wooden joints, including strength, flexibility, durability, and aesthetic appeal. I formulated my own design to be executed by the end of the workshop, utilizing my newfound knowledge of wood joinery techniques, calculations, and geometric measurements.
