The 45th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival It’s our pleasure to welcome you to the Jewish Film Institute’s 45th anniversary San Francisco Jewish Film Festival! For nearly half a century, this Festival has grown and evolved thanks to you—our passionate, curious, and courageous community. Your love of cinema, culture, and conversation has made SFJFF the longest-running Jewish film festival in the world and a vital force for creative expression, dialogue, and discovery. This year, we invite you to celebrate the global richness of Jewish identity through some of the most compelling independent films being made today. Guided by the Jewish value that learning is a lifelong pursuit, we believe there’s something in this program that will shift your perspective—no matter your vantage point— whether in a small way or a profound one. Throughout our forty-five year history, our films have reflected and responded to an ever-changing world. Again and again, we’ve turned to artists to illuminate truth, make us laugh, share insight, and help us imagine a more just and hopeful future. At a time when bold storytelling, diversity, and freedom of expression are facing an existential threat, your presence here affirms the power of art to bring us together. Every ticket you buy, every film you watch, and every conversation you spark helps sustain a creative ecosystem where ideas and exchange can flourish. On behalf of our team and leadership at the Jewish Film Institute—thank you for being an essential part of this story. We’re so glad you’re here. Thank you for supporting the Jewish Film Institute, and enjoy the 45th San Francisco Jewish Film Festival! Lexi Leban

Coexistence, My Ass!
Herbst Piedmont
Thursday, July 17 Tuesday, July 22
6:30 PM 6:00 PM
Amber Fares, United States, California Premiere Coexistence, My Ass!—in title, conception, and content—brings a bold frankness and a lens of great clarity to address the Israeli-Palestinian conflict through the razor-sharp humor of comedian Noam Shuster-Eliassi. With a narrative backbone of Eliassi’s brilliant stand-up set,
developed at Harvard University and filmed before a live audience, the film documents not only the shifting perspective of Eliassi—a UN diplomat turned comedian—but also the unfolding realities in the region and the resulting, seismically dynamic discourse surrounding it. Audiences will come away with a laugh, a tear, and an openness that feels altogether like both a salve and a kick in the ass. JFI-supported: Envision Award
