ayers of color appear and disappear; Forms appear then are layered, brushed and incised. The gouache series is an iconographic tribute to my travels, images I remember, African themes, and tribal mythologies, painted between 1990-2010. Recent work will be presented in 2016.

Sandy Kaufman is a painter and photographer living in Brooklyn, New York. He has worked for Columbia University and New York University for the past 20 years as a creative director while continuing to work on his paintings and photography.
